Lindum construction needed a Helifix installer in York so naturally they turned to us. Lindum are one of the fastest growing and respected contractors in the country, with a great reputation – they do not employ sub-contractors unless high quality and service is guaranteed.
The project is the Multi-million pound conversion of the former Bonding Warehouse to turn it into prestigious apartments.
The old building has suffered from poor maintenance over decades and there were many cracks and bulges in the thick brick walls – hence a helifix approved installer was called for.
In addition, the structural works required to transform the old space, into desirable high-specification apartments made further strengthening of the walls essential, before partial demolition and re-modeling could happen.
We’ve worked with Lindum before and have always impressed with great feedback from their clients.
The work is on-going and involves installation of Helifix helibeams and Cem Ties at all levels of the building. Our preservation section are also tasked with woodworm and rot treatment, which has included spraying timbers using micro-emulsion based preservatives from our good friends at Safeguard Europe.
A detailed case study will be produced once the contract is complete.
Of particular note on this site is the very high health and safety standards applied and required by Lindum’s team – We’ve rarely seen better on-site facilities for welfare of contractors, combined with excellent management and housekeeping – superb!
